Product Manager – Flexible Impeller Pumps

 

Location:
Gloucester,MA or Santa Ana, CA

Position Summary:

The Product Manager – FIP is responsible for the profitable growth of Flexible Impeller Pumps and growth of the Industrial and Marine market. The Product Manager will champion products through the ITT Value Based Product Development {VBPD} and Value Based Management {VBM} process.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Provide application eng. Assistance to both sales force and customers and propose solutions to technical problems.
  2. Provide customers and the sales force with product development and application support.
  3. Provide technical training on products to all personnel involved, including the sales force, reps, and ITT employees.
  4. Provide assistance with technical communications.
  5. Develop/maintain a Product Roadmap, product strategy, and implementation plan for each major product.
  6. Provide pricing identification and support to field sales and key customers.
  7. Identify, communicate, and provide information on WW market trends and competitive activity.
  8. Recommend and document new product opportunities.
  9. Champion new products through the ITT VBPD process, including opportunity prioritization.
  10. Conduct annual pricing and product rationalization activities.
  11. Continuous pricing improvement and product line portfolio management to meet market demands.
  12. Conduct and coordinate product launches, including the development of all Marcom materials.
  13. Travel to customers as required to support product launches, custom product definition, & specific product growth activities.
  14. Maintain both Sarbanes Oxley and ISO compliance processes and guidelines.
  15. Assist field sales with general product applications.
  16. Develop or assist in developing strategies and tools to support selling efforts.
  17. Investigate, evaluate, promote and recommend new and modified products.
  18. Develop and maintain key business contacts within the industry.
  19. Help develop technology roadmaps for the company and assist in converting these roadmaps into new concepts and products.
 

Core Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of pump technologies and capabilities.
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes required to build pumps.
  • Knowledge of OEM business and market channels in the Marine and Industrial markets.
  • Above average communication skills for both internal and external sales application contacts.
  • Ability to perform complex work requiring a high degree of original thinking and independent judgment.
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Office applications.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (ME, EE, IE) required. MBA or equivalent is desired.
  • 5+ years of experience with knowledge of engineering principles and technical marketing for pumps.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Marine and/or Industrial market.

Quality Manager

 

Location:
GLOUCESTER, MA, USA

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager will direct and guide the Gloucester plant and activities on issues dealing with Quality Assurance policies, systems and procedures.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Quality Systems/Programs – Improve and overhaul quality system in the Gloucester facility to ensure M&L quality performance, both internally and with the customer meets the expectation.
  2. Plant Contact – Direct report to Site Manager. Communicate with plant management to assure understanding and compliance with internal and customer quality requirements. Have direct line responsibility for managing quality personnel at the Gloucester facility. Set QA Compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.
  3. Customer Contact – Act as the key point of contact for Gloucester customers, resolving problems and proactively seeking VOC for input into improvement priorities.
  4. Continuous Improvement – Implement continuous improvement of product, quality and processes.
  5. Planning – Develop M&L quality policy and goals to support the overall strategic plan of ITT M&L. Ensure metrics are in place in the quality function to support overall key business metrics and goal deployment process. Oversee QA tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluation and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
  6. Administration – Internal communication, reports, meetings, budget and personnel concerns. Bring staff of different disciplines together and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree upon comprehensive quality procedures.
  7. Oversee and manage compliance to registration requirements of ISO 9001. Liaison with customers; auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Operations related discipline
  • 10 years experience in Quality preferably with some experience in the automotive industry.
  • 6 – 8 years experience in Quality Management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good financial skills
  • CQE, CQA & QS9000 certification.
  • Up to 25% travel
